Take a metal object from the kitchen or you can also take a nail or screw from the house, which is a metal element.

Take a small piece of wood from any furniture in the house, this is a wood element.

The above objects should  necessarily be from the premises which you intend to sale. Now place all the three objects in a red envelope, this is a fire element. Living Room

Living room is a gathering place for family members. This is an important room which is used for communication with each other in the family , watching television, playing music, meeting neighbours and guests etc. Living area should be near to the entrance of the house. This room should have positive orientation and shall provide positive mind. In Feng Shui, this is the prime room which should be activated in all its directions according to their relative role.

Seating arrangement:-

Chair or sofa in the house should have a back and arm for the support.

Do not sit with your back towards the door. Offer such seat to unwanted guest, as this makes him to leave house as early as possible.

Furniture should have round edges. So that no secret arrows are send to the persons sitting around. Make the sitting arrangement round, oval or square. This represents unity among the family members. Avoid L shape sitting arrangements which promotes difference of opinion in the damily members.

Use of natural wood furniture is more beneficial than steel furniture. 

Paining & Pictures:-

In order to provide good looks to the house and its décor, people display various types of pictures, posters, artistic works and paintings on the walls inside the house. It is necessary that the pictures displayed should be cheerful. Swords or gunds have no place in the living hall.

Bed Room

Bed room is considered to be one of the most important room of the house in the Feng Shui.  You spend here one third of your life. This is the place where one recoups the energy lost during the day. Make sure that you have everything you need that induces rest.

Some important things about bed room:-

Do not keep water or water symbol in the bed room. Existance of any water object in the bed room leads to theft or money loss.

Do not keep plants in the bed room. Plants represents yang energy which can result in to clash between husband and wife. Yang energy may also disturb sound sleep.

There should be no mirror facing the bed while sleeping. Mirror in bed room produce yang chi and can disturb sleep and drain your energy. Reflection of image in the mirror also badly affects relation and health.

Do not sleep below a beam. Heavy energy of beam will badly affect the fotune of the person sleeping below it.

Double bed in the bed room should contain one mattress which covers the whole of the bed. Do not sleep on the double bed with separate single mattresses. This symbolically represents separation. There can be difference of opinion among couple.

Do not sleep with your legs towards the main door, Such situation is termed as a death position. Such position will drain away your energy slowly but surely.

Do not sleep with a window behind the head. This gives body and subconscious a sense of insecurity. Make sure that you sleep with solid wall behind your head.

Prayer Room

Feng Shui recommends that you should not have a prayer room in the bedroom of the house. It's best to have a separate, clearly demarcated area for worship.

Prayer is the most important part of our daily activities. God understands our desires not just through the occasional utterances that we call "prayers" in the traditional sense, but through every thought we think, every word we speak, and everything we do. Our thoughts, our words, and our actions are our prayers. Spare few minutes in the prayer room & then go on with your day and notice the miracle.

Kitchen

The  importance of kitchen in any house need not be elaborated. This is the palce where for for  the family and guests are prepared. Food provides the life line energy .

Kitchen is a place where two important elements with opposite character are present i.e. fire and water. Keeping in view their conflicting character,  objects representing fire and water should be placed in proper location in the kitchen.

Guidelines for kitchen:-

Do not keep stove and sink or fridge side by side or opposite each other. Also do not keep stove between sink and fridge. Such a situation indicates fire between water. A Small plant or pot of herb in between will weaken their influence.

Never ear from chipped plates or bowls. Chipped crockery attracts stagnant chi. This is not showing a respect for your foor.

Do not keep old news paper on the shelves for purpose of keeping crockery and jar on it. This attacts stale energy.

Do not keep open knives and other pointed objects in the kitchen. This sends poison arrows pointing towards cooking person. Quality of chi in the food may ger affected in such case.

Kitchen should not face the toilet door. This will attract germs and odours to circulate around the food areas, creating negative chi. To counter act this, keep the lavatory door closed all the time.

Person cooking in the kitchen should be in a position to see any one entering from the door. If his/her back is towards the door, small mirror in front should be placed to view the entrance.

 Good fortune with rice:- 

Chinese people always keep their rice jar full. Place three chinses coins in the red envelope under the rice, in the bottom of  rice urn. Replace these coins at the beginning fo every year. This will bring good fortune and abudance year after year.

Office

Your will surprise that  what does Feng Shui have to do with the office? By following this age-old practice, you could improve your productivity and career prospects as well as enhance your success, creativity and wealth.

If possible, place your desk in a position that allows you to sit with your back to a wall or corner. This will create a sense of security. If you must sit with your back to a door, hang a mirror in front of you so you can see anyone coming into the room.

Plants with rounded leaves attract customers. Place them near your entrance or reception area.

Be carefull of stairs and escalators directly facing the entrance that will allow Chi to flow out.

Any sharp corners should be rounded off with round leaf plants.

Fish tank or aquarium is a great choice for any office. Consider including goldfish in your tank as gold is a Chinese symbol for money and is thought to attract it.

Fountains are wonderful for office or home. Make sure  water flow from fountain is not blocked, stagnant or very rapid. Water is the most powerful symbol of money in feng shui. Its sparkling chi energy is beneficial for your health and prosperity but due care must be taken to keep water fresh and clean.
